CONTENTS/SKILLS: Difference between smells
Using nose as a fundamental sense
DESCRIPTION:
Using different ingredients students shall recognize what do they
belong to. All of them must be easily recognizable for them.
They will list them into a piece of paper.
RECIPE:
Chocolate mug cake (made before class starts)
1. Place
2 tablespoons of butter in a 250ml tea
cup or small mug and microwave for 10–20 seconds until melted.
- Add
2 tablespoons of caster sugar, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and 1
tablespoon of cocoa powder and beat with a fork until thoroughly combined.
- Add
1 egg yolk and a half of a teaspoon of vanilla extract and beat together,
then add 4 tablespoons of flour and a pinch of salt and beat again until
thoroughly combined and smooth. Stir through 1 tablespoon of chocolate
chips and transfer to a 250ml paper cup, if using.
- Cook
in the microwave for 50 seconds at 600W, 30 seconds at 800W or 25 seconds
at 1000W.
- Scatter
1 tablespoon of chocolate chips over the top and cook in the microwave for
a further 30 seconds.
- Leave
to cool for about 15 minutes, as then the cake becomes deliciously chewy
and is ready to serve.

rosemary
olives
coffee
NOTES/ PIECES OF ADVICE:
The ingredients shall be prepared
before the students come into the class. They shall be in different bowls with
lid making difficult to see what is inside.
