they are left ready to get married in the last chapter, we will get their
reception party ready. Our previous

Day Individual HOMEWORK: Design Beauty and The Beast wedding
invitation. 1st
session: The
invitations are displayed and praised by the teacher, we imagine the wedding
and the following questions are dictated and copied individually: 1.
How many guests were there? 2.
What were Beauty and the Beast wearing? 3.
What food was there? 4.
What happened after the meal? Then
the students are arranged in groups of 4, being aware of mixing different
abilities students. The groups
of 4 answer the questions and design the wedding reception menu (starters,
main course and dessert) which should include vegetarian dish, gluten free
option and a trendy, exotic dish. 2nd session: We spend the first minutes of the class watching the following video to remind them that a vegetarian dish should appear in the menu. They spend the rest of the class working in groups preparing their presentation describing the wedding and the menu. 3rd session: We dedicate the class to listen to the groups speaking about the wedding they planned. We finish the class writing strips of paper
with their predictions about the just married couple to be included in the
fortune cookies. Some students found it difficult to create
the cookies out of paper and suggested using
Mikado chocolate sticks , around which the predictions stripes
can be rolled. 4th session: To be celebrated in the first weeks of June, after making sure we got all the necessary ingredients, with a double purpose: as part of the project and as a Wedding Planners Staff Party. Every group will elaborate savoury snacks (spreading, mixing , no heat procedure involved), selected from their ideas for the starters in the menu of their own design in sessions 2nd and 3rd. Enjoy the party! |
