LESSON OBJECTIVE: How the color and
packaging of the products influence us
CONTENTS/SKILLS: Learn to learn, linguistic competence, teamwork, critical spirit, initiative and entrepreneurial study.
DESCRIPTION:
- We are going to study how colour influences over us. According to the Impact of Color in Marketing study, 90% of the snap judgments we make about products are based on color.
- 1º
We will make a Kahoot about colour and emotions:
·Red:
danger, dare, luxury, strength, shopping addicts
·Green:
nature, freshness, health
·Blue:
welfare, confidence, harmony, spirituality, fantasy
·Black:
elegance, personality and individualism
·Purple:
attract attention
·Soft
colours: innocence, harmless, childhood…
·Transparent
2º In groups of 5 students choose a product that you want to sell and a colour for their package. Give the characteristics of the product and the buyer (6 adjectives). We can use an empathy map.
·Milk chocolate
·Dark chocolate
·Packing fruit
·Candies
·Eggs
·An ecological product
·Bottled water…
3º (2nd session) Each group will explain the choice and its reasons in class. We can explain the explanation to other products (F.E: washing machine detergents and softeners use light colours and are very harmful for the environment). Then, we can see some real examples on the internet or shared some strawberries (or other packing fruit) and different types of chocolate (if it is the last day of the evaluation, as a relaxed task)
