SUBJECT: ENGLISH

TOPIC: LET´S GO ON A PICNIC

Estimated TIME/SESSIONS: 1 SESSION 1 HOUR

LESSON OBJECTIVE:

-          - prepare a sandwich for a picnic.

-        - follow instructions.

-        -  use specific vocabulary and grammar instructions.

 CONTENTS/SKILLS:  

-         - food vocabulary

-         - recipe instructions.

-         - grammar instructions ( i like , i don´t like, imperative)

DESCRIPTION:

We organize the class in teams or pairs.

-        First of all, we introduce the lesson with a video

 “I want to be a Chef”:

-        Then, we elaborate a papper chef Hat.

-    Later, we introduce food vocabulary using flashcards, songs and guessing game. (Revise the Credits section). We use the structure Do you like? And students express their opinion.

-        Then, we explain the recipe.

-        Now, students follow the instructions to make the sandwiches.

-     At the end, we go outside to the playground and prepare one tablecloth for each team and enjoy the lunchtime.

-     Extension: Next session we can write the recipe or make a video with the students.

A SANDWICH RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

-          Butter

-          Ham

-          Cheese

-          Bread

-          Tomato

-          Lettuce

HOW TO MAKE IT

-          Open the bread pack.

-          Spread the butter on one slice of bread.

-          Put a slice of cheese on it.

-          Add a slice of ham on it.

-          Put two slices of tomato.

-          Add some lettuce on top.

-          Put another slice of bread.

-          Cut the sandwich in two parts.
